As a Safety Coordinator, you'll organize a detailed, day-to-day Health and Safety program. Your in-depth knowledge of plant safety standards will be a key to your success. With guidance from the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager, you'll see to it that all plant needs are covered in the Health and Safety program.

Your ability to work positively with others will play in important role as a Safety Coordinator. You will serve as the plant contact for safety issues. And, you'll acts as a resource for safety information on company guidelines and standards. As a Safety Coordinator, you'll also coach employees on safety related tasks and activities.

Under the supervision of HSE leadership, you'll coordinate safety monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the plant.

A Safety Coordinator, you'll need to have a general knowledge of industrial safety. Some work experience may be considered instead of an Associate degree. A strong knowledge of OSHA regulations is needed to be successful in this role.
