An important part of your job will be to coordinate existing health and safety programs for the plant. Your work will also ensure compliance with safety and work environment laws, regulations and standards both inside and outside of the plant. You'll also help monitor long term health and safety goals and implement larger health and safety programs for the company. As a Health, Safety, and Environment Technician, you will work closely with health and safety leadership and plant personnel to ensure full compliance and enhanced safety awareness.

You'll also participate in and provide data for safety audits, lending your expertise on company safety policies. Your knowledge of safety practices regulations will be key as you use this knowledge to keep the people around you safe.   • Work with the plant to ensure health and safety issues are addressed promptly
  • Supply, operate, or maintain personal protective equipment
  • Test workplaces for environmental hazards
  • Verify availability or monitor use of safety equipment
  • Maintain all required environmental records and documentation
  • Ensure plant reporting tools are accurate and maintained
  • Perform and assist with environmental calculations
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations
