As a Site Security Specialist, your job will be to assist the security team with daily security operations. You'll watch for both internal and external security threats and risks. In addition, you'll advise management about security issues. Part of your job will be to find weak spots and protect the company and the plant.

You may also develop and use security protocols and ensure that people follow security rules. You'll also get to work with the electronic security systems for the facility (video, access control, alarm).

In this role, you'll get to perform regular inspections of and routine maintenance on physical security parts and makes arrangements for required repairs. As a Site Security Specialist you may also prepare reports and conduct investigations of security incidents. You might also work with local law enforcement officials.

This job may require shift work.

  • Monitor the overall security status of site facilities
  • Develop and implement local security protocols
  • Respond to employee queries about security issues
  • Ensure compliance with both corporate and local security policies and procedures
  • Set up and authorize visitor badges
  • Back-up to performing weekly security audits and monthly virus updates and scan on company systems
  • Work with law enforcement agencies throughout the region and assist with investigations and testimony as needed
