Do you like to work with your hands to solve problems? Do you like knowing the inner workings of buildings and other structures? You might enjoy a career in the Construction industry as a Plumber.

Plumbers specialize in installing and repairing pipes that carry water, gas, or wastewater. You’ll help decide what pipes should be laid and take care of the installation of those pipes. Teamwork is important as you work with electricians and other Construction Craft professionals.

Plumbers typically get training in skills such as pipe cutting, soldering, draining, and local plumbing codes. Next you’ll probably train as an apprentice and then move on to become a licensed plumber.
