Are you organized? Do you like to make plans months ahead of time? Put your skills to work as a Logistics Specialist. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments in order to manage the flow of raw materials and supplies into the business and finished products off to customers.

You’ll need to make sure your company has the right amount of supplies at the right times. So, you'll be in charge of creating strategies and developing plans to meet this goal. You'll work with production teams to verify production schedules to make sure supplies are ordered when needed. You'll also work closely with the loading and warehouse teams to ensure shipments from suppliers are on time and for the correct amount.

Another key part of your job is making sure products reach your customers on time and in the correct amounts ordered. If you enjoy keeping things on track and working with a variety of people, you will excel in this role. Most work is carried out in an office but you’ll also need to visit the production floor and warehouse at times. Companies use computer software programs to aid in forecasting and tracking so you'll need good computer skills.

Most companies look for a candidate with at least some education in business, management, or logistics. Experience in warehouse operations will make you an even more appealing prospect.
