Turner Industries

Turnkey services for companies that produce fuel, energy and products essential to modern life.

Turner Industries

Turner Industries provides turnkey services and solutions to the nation’s heavy industrial sector, supporting companies that produce fuel, energy and products essential to modern life. Engineering News-Record ranks Turner as the nation’s top maintenance contractor in petroleum, and a top contractor in Texas and Louisiana. The company employs an average of 20,000 people and works across the United States. Services include construction, maintenance, turnaround, modular and pipe fabrication, equipment, rigging and specialized transportation.

In the early 60’s Bert Turner bought Nichols Construction Company. The company specialized in industrial construction, heavy equipment, hauling, rigging and equipment rental. To ensure a steady stream of revenue, Turner embarked on industrial contract maintenance and other services which fulfilled client needs. From there Turner acquired companies and added additional services like scaffolding. In the 80s Turner entered the fabrication and bending business.

In the 2000s the early companies consolidated into one entity – Turner Industries Group, LLC.

Turner Industries’ Texas operations began in 1975 with the opening of an office in Beaumont. It soon became apparent the Houston Ship Channel would be the nexus of America’s refining and petrochemical industries. This prompted Turner to open its first Houston-area operating facility in 1988. Today’s Pasadena office now serves as the hub for its Western Region operations.

The company’s success relies on our ability to attract, recruit and train talented personnel. In addition to recruiting at high schools and colleges, recruitment efforts include military bases and job fairs and among non-traditional and underserved populations.

As Turner Industries celebrates its sixth decade of incorporation, the company will continue pursuing the same things that has made it steadfastly successful for nearly 60 years – a culture of safety, integrity and employees working together to provide one solution for our clients’ success.
