The BASF site in Freeport, Texas, was founded in 1958, becoming BASF Corporation’s first chemical manufacturing site outside of Europe.  Today, the Freeport site is joined by seven other production sites along the Texas Gulf Coast, one near Dallas, a major business center in Houston as well as lab services, sales offices and other functions dotting the Texas horizon.  Together, the BASF Texas presence represents almost 2,000 BASF employees, who work side by side with another 1500-plus contractors.  Our products range from concrete construction materials, to ibuprofen, fertilizer, paints, solvents, plastics and more.  The BASF sites in Texas take pride in operating our facilities in the safest, most efficient and environmentally sound manner possible while bringing quality products to our customers and the world.

All the BASF Texas locations are part of the BASF Corporation, which is headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, and is the North American affiliate of BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, Germany.
